A Directory of Northeast Ohio Farms & Local Foods
In Northeast Ohio, demand for local food is growing!
Buyers are seeking out fresh, healthy, delicious foods that are grown and prepared right here at home by people they trust.
Let food-conscious customers know about your about your local farm, food product or business by obtaining a free listing in the Countryside Food Guide.
Who can be included in the Countryside Food Guide?
• Local farms, farm stands, farmers’ market vendors, u-pick operations & Community Supported Agriculture farms (CSAs)
• Farmers’ markets
• Restaurants & caterers featuring locally grown & produced foods
• Grocers, food co-ops, specialty markets, & other local food retailers
• Artisan bakers, cheese makers, craft brewers & other specialty food producers
• Produce auctions
• Distributors & wholesalers who supply local foods
When will the guide be available?
The Countryside Food Guide will be released this summer and distributed to consumers at NE Ohio markets, restaurants, retailers, libraries and other outlets.
How much does it cost?
Listings are free for local farms and locally owned and operated food businesses.
Who is publishing the Countryside Food Guide?
The Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy is publishing the guide to raise awareness among Northeast Ohio consumers about the availability, variety and importance of locally grown and produced foods. The guide will help connect consumers with local farms, producers, and retailers, generating more local food commerce that benefits NE Ohio’s economy, our communities, and the environment.
How to participate?
1. Download or print the Countryside Food Guide application form on our website at: http://www.cvcountryside.org/Website/Local%20FoodWorks/local_foodworks.htm.

2. Complete and return the application form whichever way is easiest for you:

Deadline to Submit Applications:
June 1, 2006. Applications received later than June 1 will be included in on-line directory only.
